Valuable Rice

Rice: Rice is the seed of the monocot plants Oryza sativa or Oryza glaberrima. As a cereal grain, it is the most widely consumed staple food for a large part of the world's human population, especially in Asia.

Most people think, why would Janasia value rice? Why would that be so important to her? Well I'm going to explain it to you. As a puertoriquena americana, rice is apart of my heritage. My spanish heritage uses rice in soups, main dishes, and sometimes as patties.
I value rice because it is my favorite food in the entire world. From black rice, to brown rice, to orange rice, to white rice, it is my favorite. Rice has so many different flavors and it has many different combinations with items such as beans, potatoes, and peas. Rice feels me up whenever I consume it, yet leaves me craving for more, even when I'm full!

Rice is an essential part of a diet. Rice gives amino acids (protein's building blocks) and vitamin B. Rice is also low in sodium, so it helps those individuals that have blood pressure. Since rice is abundant in carbohydrates, it acts as fuel for the body and aids in the normal functioning of the brain. Rice is an energy source.

Rice is such an easy and quick thing to make. So if anyone is looking fir something healthy and easy, rice is the ideal go to. Enjoy the new information

  1. Janasia,
Be sure that you cite where you get information from. Plagiarism is a very big offense. It is good to see that rice is important to you since it is such a powerful agent.
