Number one rule
The number one rule to me that people should follow is to be accurate when having a discussion. This rule is important to me because people argue or speak with no facts, only accusations. I believe that people should know exactly what they are talking about when engaging in a discussion or debate. If they are not sure of something, but want to speak upon it, they should ask questions. This rule can be applied to trials, debates, and most likely classroom discussions. Some people might believe that this rule is too strict. Mainly because its inevitable for people to make mistakes and be wrong. Though, they do understand that people are not perfect, I personally believe in this rule because I do not let my pride get in the way. I am not perfect and I tend to be wrong. So, when I am proved wrong I do not get upset. When I know that I am conversing about something very emotional to me, I do not just assume that I am right. I research and ask questions so I do not get my feelings hurt when I am proven incorrect. In my opinion, if people would follow this rule more often, they would become wiser and humble.
